- To develop knowledge and coordination between all parties to promote better relationships with building owners, public bodies, architects, engineers, code officials and material manufacturers.

In 1981, a small group of interested contractors met to form an association know as the Greater Ozarks Chapter of the National Metal Building Dealers Association. In 1985, our association voted to change our status to an independent local association and drop our affiliation with National. At the same time, the name of the association was changed to Greater Ozarks Building Systems Association. This change enabled our association to attract a greater number of new members at a greatly reduced membership fee.
The Greater Ozarks Building Systems Association is an organization comprised of building contractors, independent building erectors, building sub-contractors, material suppliers and associated professional firms related to our industry.Our common goal is to educate, promote cooperation of all parties providing components, devices and construction techniques to achieve quality finished building systems in Southwest Missouri.
